20,000 hits!

Wow, I can't believe we reach 20,000 hits on my blog, and that is only counting from the beginning of August! I just want to say thanks to all of my blog viewers for making this happen :).

The Contest is Over

Wow, I really though it would be longer than this, but the contest is over. I wanted to give away more than one card, but it is too hard to keep track of all of the PM's and such to do this any longer. I will do it again when I am more organized. The winner told me not to reveal who he is, so I will honor that.

This is my latest contest. It is pretty much an internet scavenger hunt. Follow the clues and you will be rewarded :).

Take my highest score on pyramid stones and multiply that by the power of my only Illexia card. PM me that number and you will be given your next clue. They get harder ;).

Answer to the Hint

The hint was hidden in a post dated in April which said Occasus/Chaotic or Chaotic/Occasus, I forget which. But it was hinting to my logo, which is the Chaotic Logo mixed with my username. If you press that image, you will be sent to my twitter website which told you to pm me. The first five will be able to start the contest before everyone else, but everyone will have a shot :).

Free Cards!

Who doesn't like free cards? Well I know you all don't! :P But I know there are some people out there who do, so I guess this is for them. I have started a super secret contest, where I will be giving out free cards (I might slip an ultra or two in the pot). The contest is held on a separate website, and I have hidden a hint somewhere in my blog ;).

Good luck! I hope you guys can find it, but the hint isn't that important. You could probably get to the website without it.

Chaotic Card of the Week-September 24

This week's card is Jaal :).

Jaal is one of the craftier of the Danian tribe. I can't tell you how many players got flustered after losing one of their ultra rare creatures to jaal. You guys need to understand that just because a creature is an uncommon, doesn't mean that it isn't playable, or bad. Yugioh has numbed you guys to how rarity works :P. Many factors go into what rarity a card will be, it isn't all about how strong it is. So don't go around saying cards are too good and need to be of a higher rarity, because TC Digital knows what they are doing.

Any way, back to jaal. Any creature with element X is something that you need to watch out for. Even though you have to wait a little bit for him to get it, the infection part of his ability makes him almost better. Pair him up with the queen and you will be getting extra mugic counters so you will be saving your Lore's mugic counters to be dealing damage ;).

This week's card is Saand :).

Let me tell you a little story. I was at Gen Con for nationals, and I just got back from this match against a swift/range mipedian deck that used Saand and this Chaotic Employee asked, "Do you like Saand?" I replied that I liked him, and could get quite annoying at times :P. Then he said "Yeah, it is a design team favorite too." So don't take my word for it, I'm not alone!

Just look at him: Surprise, fairly nice stats, and air 5. He is a very power creature, and is the mipedian equivalent of Barath Beyond and everyone will agree with me when I say that he is a good card.

So see if you can work him into an air based mipedian deck, you might just be pleasantly surprised :).

Well she is gone, there isn't much getting around that. I am sure we all have some sadness with her leaving. She was there for everything: the official launch, the first megaroar (with none of the release dates being correct :P) the special Christmas Glacier Plains with the snowman event, and even some of Mordrid's rants!

But at the same time, we have someone who can take her place. Blargers is more than qualified to take over as forum manager, and he has done a great job so far with taking care of the community :).

In honor of Mordrid

Well, KnucklesE has posted a message from Mordrid that has since been deleted or edited out. I must say that the forums will take an impact, but at the same time I think all of us will grow a bit more from this experience. I think I speak for all of us when I say we were all impacted in some way by him, and it will be a long time before we will ever forget him.

i want to appologize to the members of this thread. some of you i have told that the thread would be around for a long time, for that i do appologize also. my patients with this site has come to an end, i am tired of waiting for this game to get its many problems fixed, and i really dont want to keep spending money on a game, that apparently, will always have serious flaws. i have come to realize that no matter what chaotic does about bugs, there will always be bugs in this game, because there will always be new sets coming out.

over the last 9 months i have been trying to make the best effort i could on the site, in the hopes that i would get a full time job with the company. i went to comiccon for the main purpose of getting that job. there i was offered a job, so i went to gencon to get more information on it, only to find out the position wasnt exactly what i was expecting. spending all that time, money and effort trying to become an employee of the company, ended up preventing me from spending the time, money and effort trying to find the job i should have been looking for. when i got home from gencon, i realized that i was completely out of money, had to sell my car, and put my house up for sale, ended up not having a job to earn money with, ended up having a serious psychological breakdown, and putting myself in the hospital for four days.

so after waisting my time, money and effort trying to improve the site with suggestions, finding bugs, helping new players with strategy and game play, finding ways to inprove the threads and just trying to be the most help i can to the site and members, i have come to one conclusion.

I CAN NO LONGER TAKE PART IN THIS GAME, ONLINE, OFFLINE OR *** AN EMPLOYEE.

Kyrick, you are the reason why i am alive right now and not d e a d. a few weeks ago we had a conversation about how i was trying to find myself. that conversation was the one thing that made me realise i needed to go to the hospital that weekend. if it wasnt for that one conversation, i would be pushing up daisies now. thank you.

I am sure everyone can see why this card is the Card of the Week. With a potential of 25 damage for only 2 build points, you really can really do some cost effective damage. And think of a crawsectus, with a vlaric shard using this attack? 35 damage for two build points is an amazing thing to have in your deck. Oh, and did I mention that I love its art? :D

He is one of the more annoying creatures that you will play against in an underworld match up. Underworld has no problem with mugic counters. Oftentimes, they are flooded with them. So why not use these extra counters against your opponent? Especially in warbeast decks where mugic counters are very scarce and they have close to the minimum, Illazar can really disrupt their rhythm.
