Chaotic Card of the Week August 27

Today we are looking at Hammerdoom Chantcaller Assimilated :)

As some of you might know, I have been playing with a danian deck after one beat my warbeast deck :P. And way, Hammerdoom Chantcaller is one of those creatures who just carries that deck in underworld matches. With a doomhammer, all of his attacks will deal at least 10 damage, plus the earth five pretty much makes him near invincible.

So basically, I just want to say don't doubt the danians. I think I might me posting my danian deck soon once I clean it up a little bit :).

So I am going to continue on with my two previews a day. Today, I have two new attacks to preview, and tomorrow, two REALLY awesome creatures :).

Card of the Week 8/13 and 8/20

Seeing as I did not make card of the week articles yesterday, or last week, I am going to do both in one gigantic blog post!

Clodor


People should know that I am completely in love with this card from one of my last blog articles featuring a deck based around Clodor. He has the highest wisdom value out of any Creature currently out, which makes wisdom challenges a breeze! We all should know about the combo with that, Ka-inna and Karaba, so for more information about that, please check out my last Building on a Budget topic :).

Olkiex


Ok, part of the reason I chose Olkiex is because he just works so well with Clodor, and he is a pretty cool looking creature! I wish I could go into more detail, but I keep on getting PMs about the contest. Orannis is the official winner!

But Oliex is a great creature. Most people don't expect much battlegear destruction from overworld, so this is a nice surprize to throw at your opponents. He is strong, but at the same time unessential. You could still easily win the game with out him, but your opponent may have to spend some time to deal with him :).

3000th Hit

I noticed that we are dangerously close to 3,000 hits on my blog! For those of you who don't know, I have a counter at the bottom of the page that goes up every time the page is loaded up. I put the counter in at the beginning of August, so that is pretty awesome, at least I think so :P. So here is the deal! I want every person to take a screenshot of the hit counter as we get close to the 3,000 number. Whoever is closest to the number 3,000 will be given a super rare unused code! If there is a tie (like someone got 2999 and another got 3001) then the winner will be whoever is the higher of the two. So get screen-shotting!

Here are some various pics I took at Gen Con at the Chaotic area.



This is how you set up a game called Three-Five-Seven. Basically each person takes turns taking as many beads from one column (not rows) as they want. The object is to leave your opponent with the last bead to pick up :).



This is Graham (like the cracker :P). He is one of the "cool" guys working at the Chaotic booth. He mostly did demos and did a little judging and maybe one or two codemaster matches.



This is the guy who beat me in the top eight, and next to him is the guy who came in second :P.

Hello there blog viewers! I am back with another installment of building on a budget with a build that I am growing more and more fond of as I toy around with it. So let's get to it!

I guess you can figure out how this deck works. It focuses on courage and wisdom. You can use Lanker to boost your Clodor's courage, or wisdom if you need to, to make the challenges and get a large amount of mugic counters on Clodor. You should try to get some of them on Karraba, but don't feel like you have to. You should stop around 5 or 6 counters on Karraba, any more would just be healing Color more than his max energy. You have plenty of overworld mugic, have Color cast it instead. If you are about to destroy an opponent's creature, use Na-inna to move counters from another creature your opponent controls to the creature who is about to be destroyed. Mugic counter destruction is something that most people don't prepare for, and it can really hamper a deck's strategy.

Chaotic Card of the Week-August 6

Today we are going to talk about one of the more annoying cards, Lanker


He is one of the more annoying creatures I have come up against in my games. Not only because he takes too long to do what my opponent's want to do with it, but because he can ruin just about any of my stat based strategies. His maxed energy his 35, so that means you can up your stats by 90 points! Now almost any creature can out power bloot, or out speed Blazvatan!

Of course, Lanker is not without his weaknesses. He is almost useless up against Underworld armies with their damage dealing mugics, but now that we are seeing a lot more warbeast decks in the metagame, Lanker now has his 15 minutes of fame :).

Fun with Enre-Hep

This deck, well a similar deck, will be posted by Dragonix as a part of the Gauntlet decks in a couple of weeks. I figure I will give you guys a little bit of a preview on how it works. I won't be giving you guys a complete deck list, but I will give you a little taste and let Dragonix show you the whole deck.

You can pretty much figure out how this deck works. You basically want to get rid of the conjurors as fast as you can and make sure that you use the Ravita Flowers to make the creatures go to the discard pile with as many mugic counters as you can. Enre-Hep is your key card here. Hopefully, you will have him with upwards of 11-12 mugic counters. Now that you can give your opponent's creatures high amounts of reclessness (increased even more by your Ribbians!) your ribbians should be able to take care of your opponent's creatures fairly easily :).
